Facilitated Group for Women who are Surviving the Death of a Spouse.

These have been a few extraordinary years. Isolation and division have left some families without their usual support mechanisms to rely upon. It is particularly difficult for folks who have lost their primary support person, their spouse. The death of a life partner is always difficult. Regardless of the status of the relationship, whether bliss or strained, an untimely death leaves a void that is not easily rectified.

This group is designed to provide a support and advice forum for women who have lost their life partner and for whom the transition has been difficult. It will focus on the process of the grief cycle and the nuances of “partnerless living”, redefining self-identity, reckoning with changing life roles and definitions, resuming social interactions, and changes in the family system.

If this group is of particular interest to you or someone you know, please call me to arrange a prescreening interview. The group will be virtual utilizing a confidential video platform. It will remain as an open group for the first 3 weeks then it will close to retain membership and continuity of content. The group will meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm beginning May 5th. The fee per session is $100. Please call me at (770) 582-0532 if you have questions or wish to reserve a spot in this group experience.
